The last few weeks the weather was the deciding factor in determining where we would go to look for the fish. With the wind changing constantly in direction it was difficult to form any pattern, but we still managed to land good catches of nice sized bottom fish like Red Roman and Red Stumpnose.

Fishing with lighter tackle these fish gave everyone excellent fights. A lot of people underestimate the fight a 4kg Red Stumpnose puts up, and anglers were pretty impressed once they managed to land such nice fish.

We did a few trips to the shallower banks, and also went to Skipskop on a few occassions. In the deeper water we also managed a few good hauls of Silvers. These excellent eating fish is always a welcome sight to any angler.

Summer is now approaching fast and last weekend one of the boats managed a good haul of 12 yellowtail on the 12 Mile bank. This area will become our prime target area when the weather allows, and we are expecting a bumper season trolling and jigging for these fine fighters.
